Dust the surface with cornflour and roll out the red fondant and cut out your two love heart eyes. Then roll out the black fondant and create your mouth.
Add a little bit of buttercream to the cake board then add your first sponge and top with a layer of buttercream and repeat process until all cakes are stacked.
Do a crumb coat around the cake and scrap any excess buttercream off to ensure a flat surface.
Dust the surface again and roll out your yellow fondant then flip the fondant on to the cake. Using a fondant smoother, smooth the fondant down and around the cake to ensure it is fully covered.
Once the cake is fully covered, using a little bit of water stick the heart eyes and mouth to the top of the cake.
